The Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that supports programs in the areas of financial literacy, the environment, health, human, and family services, and best practices for small nonprofit organizations. We serve as a catalyst, and partner in finding innovative and workable solutions for the betterment of the communities we serve.

Common Questions

Where will my donation go?

100% of your donation will stay local. We will be making decisions as needs arise over the next year or more.

How do I make a donation with a credit card?

We are accepting online donations via PayPal. All of the links under Camp Fire Relief funds below are directed towards those specific funds to donate through PayPal. Click on the corresponding fund you would like to donate to proceed.

How do I set up a fund?

We are no longer setting up Camp Fire Relief funds for individuals or organizations due to an overwhelming amount of requests.

Will any of my donation go towards administrative fees for your Foundation?

None of your donation will go towards administrative fees. There is a small fee to use PayPal services, if you choose to donate that way instead of a check.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes.  You will receive a receipt within 5-7 business days.

Legacy Merit Scholarship Program

The Legacy Merit Scholarship is awarded to an incoming college freshman who is the child or grandchild of a Founder or employee of the Bank. The Foundation also provides up to two merit scholarships to Chico area high school students through the Chico Community Scholarship Association as well as supporting programs in the areas of financial literacy, the environment, health, human, and family services, and best practices for small nonprofit organizations.GVBCF_2017 Merit Scholarship Winner
