Stories that Continue: A Chico Community Memorial Library Collection
Honoring the lives forever changed by building a lasting collection of stories that celebrate hope, courage, kindness, and community.
Our Chico community continues to grieve the tragic loss of Robert Johnson and Jacob “Cody” Hull, while also recognizing the profound impact this tragedy has had on the dedicated Butte County Library staff, who faced unimaginable circumstances with extraordinary courage, compassion, and commitment to serving others.
Nothing can replace the lives that were tragically taken, but together, we can honor their memory, recognize the strength and resilience of our library staff, and invest in the next chapter of the Butte County Library that has long been a cornerstone of our community.
We invite family, friends, neighbors, and supporters to make a gift to help build this permanent memorial collection. Donations will allow the Butte County Library to thoughtfully select inspiring, uplifting, and meaningful books that will serve readers of all ages for years to come.
Every book added to this collection will become part of a living legacy offering comfort, sparking imagination, encouraging learning, and reminding future generations of the enduring values that define our community: hope, courage, kindness, and compassion.
Together, we can ensure that the stories shared within the sacred space of our Chico library continue to bring light, connection, and possibility for generations to come.
